Watercolor on Location & Making a Summer Sketchbook
Ages: 18 - No Limit
This class is designed for the beginner to intermediate watercolor painter who wants to work in the field with more success. We will work with sketchbook sized watercolor pieces and capture the essence of the outdoors and a sense of place. The first two weeks and last three weeks are for indoor studio work to finalize the pieces and refine them. We will be working at the League on these days. All other classes will meet at specified out door locations. Student must have some drawing and oil painting experience and be able to understand basic perspective. It is based on my watercolor book "Weekend Watercolor Workshops". A limited palette and supplies will be needed initially.
SPECIAL NOTE: The course meets in the ASLD main building for the first two classes in May; after that, all classes are on location at a new site each month. Please contact the ASLD front desk for class locations, 303.778.6990 x0
