Learn to print! Basics of print room techniques, procedures and safety are covered, and each artist will be certified to work independently. Develop bold graphic images and explore rich visual dialogue with ghost prints. Explore multiple variations on an original idea, unlocking creative progression. Informal discussions will enhance your understanding of printmaking techniques, including blending and drawing with a brayer, mylar stenciling and basics of color composition and mixing.

What to Bring
Monotypes For Beginners: Session B Materials Students Bring: 1 small tube of black, oil-based printmaking ink ( etching, block printing). 1-2 sheets printmaking paper, such as Rives BFK or Rives lightweight. 1 small bottle odorless mineral spirits one pad of 18-24" (approximately) newsprint.
